Collapsibles, as the name suggests, were Engelhardt foldable canvas rafts that has rims that can be lifted up when launched, unlike regular lifeboats, which could hold up to 65-70 people, Collapsibles could only hold 47. There were four Collapsibles on the Titanic when she was planned out, built and sank. A, B, C and D. or 1, 2, 3 and 4. Collapsibles C & D barely made launch before the Titanic went down, with Collapsible D being lowered when the water was around A Deck. A and B on the other hand, almost went down with the ship, A being swamped with water, and B being upturned.
