Dave Legeno (October 12th, 1963 - July 6th, 2014) was an English actor and mixed martial artist.


Legeno was born David Ronald Murray in Marylebone, London, England He tried to change his last name to Legend, however, due to handwriting issues, it was read as "Legeno".

Legeno's first major film role was in Guy Richie's Snatch. He had roles in Batman Begins, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Centurion, and Last Knights. Most notably, Legeno played the werewolf, Fenrir Greyback, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, and Part 2.

Legeno lent his voice to the videogame The Getaway: Black Monday as a protagonist, Eddie O'Connor. He was trained in various combat styles, including boxing, wrestling, judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai.

For his role in Titanic (2012 mini-series), he portrayed a fictional seaman named Davis.

Dave Legeno died on July 6th, 2014 from a heat stroke in Death Valley, California.


Dave is the first cast-member from the 2012 mini-series to die.
