Summary Edit

"Collapse of the Forward Funnel", a painting by Dallas Keffer inspired by a similar scene in the 1997 film "Titanic" which showed the funnel toppling to port. Here I have depicted it as I believe it to have been, based on my 40 years studying the subject. As the bridge plunges below the water, the forward expansion joint opens and snaps the funnel supports. The funnel topples to starboard as swimmers climbing aboard the overturned collapsible lifeboat look on.
